Remember
the Alamo!
Remember the Alamo as you've seen it in movies, surrounded
by Texas rangeland or more likely surrounded by California high desert
masquerading as Texas rangeland. Do not remember the Alamo as it
is now, surrounded by hotels, tourists, and downtown San Antonio.
Above all, do not remember that the battle was fought primarily because
Mexico had outlawed slavery and the US settlers wanted to keep their slaves.
